It Doesn't Have to Feel Like This

Safety is the number one goal in treatment. The best way to have that felt safety is to be able to breathe without tension, laugh without hesitation, and feel free within your own body. We utilize SE (Somatic Experiencing) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to assist with processing the trauma. But we also use your own resources, as well as resources given by our environment. We’d love to help you establish your own set of resources in order to assist with your own felt safety.

What We Offer

Somatic Experiencing & EMDR

Psychoeducational & Processing Groups

Individual Counseling Session
$150/45 minutes

The Somatic Experiencing Approach facilitates the completion of self-protective motor responses and the release of thwarted survival energy bound in the body, thus addressing the root cause of trauma symptoms. This is approached by gently guiding clients to developing increasing tolerance for difficult bodily sensations and suppressed emotions.

Group Therapy Session
$80/90 minutes

Learning better and more efficient ways to process our trauma in community can be a powerful healing tool. At the Trauma Resolution Center of Texas, we use multiple modalities within our group setting to assist with the healing process. Our current groups focus on healing from sexual assault and/or trauma, chronic illness support, support for middle school girls, prenatal and postpartum support, and hospice grief support.

Niki has experience working with adults and trauma, is trained in EMDR, and is certified in Somatic Experiencing. She uses the group model to facilitate learning and encouraging one another as you go through the licensing process. We use the supervision group to improve skills and learn from one another.

Chronic Illness Support Group

This group offers a supportive, judgment-free space to connect with others who understand the physical and emotional impact of ongoing illness.

Participants can expect a balance of shared support and practical coping strategies, with space to explore identity changes, grief and loss, boundaries, and how to live meaningfully while honoring physical limits. This is not about fixing illness or forcing positivity, but about feeling seen, supported, and less alone.

Middle School Girls Support Group

Info Page 6 Transparent Background PNG-3.png

This therapist-facilitated group is designed for girls in grades 5–8 who are navigating the social, emotional, and developmental changes of middle school. The group provides a safe, supportive space for girls to connect with peers, ask questions, share experiences, and learn they are not alone during this transitional stage.

While guided by a qualified therapist, much of the growth in this group comes from peer connection. Participants will build insight, confidence, and communication skills through discussion, shared problem-solving, and mutual support, helping them better navigate friendships, school stress, self-identity, and emotional regulation.

Insurance

We are currently able to accept Cigna/Evernorth, United, and Aetna insurance plans. If neither of these plans apply, I can provide a superbill for you to turn into your insurance company. When you complete your intake forms, please request a superbill, if this is something you need.

Sliding Scale

We have a limited number of appointments for clients needing a sliding scale. Please do not let finances stop you from reaching out. As a social worker, it is my joy to find you services that meet your needs, even if we are not the one providing those services.

"Trauma is not what happens to us. But what we hold inside in the absence of an empathetic witness."
