Meet Niki
Niki has been in the people-serving business for 20+ years. She changed careers in her 40’s because she saw a need that the local church was not meeting in the community. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Niki can now be one person choosing to make a difference and meet people where they are in their own environment, without judgement. In her free time, she enjoys a good sugar free vanilla latte at a local coffee shop or sizzling fajitas with friends. She looks forward to meeting you and to learn more about how you use your environment for your own benefit.
Background and Training
Niki is trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and SE (Somatic Experiencing). Niki utilizes both modalities to assist clients with lowering the impact of trauma on the physical body. Niki is also trained in relational trauma codependency and employs the Relational Trauma Integration model from Pia Melody to assist in the recovery process. Through the use of trauma informed practices, Niki approaches the history of trauma in a patient and nonjudgemental way.
Populations Served
Niki started her Social Work training in the nonprofit world working with survivors of sex trafficking. Since then, she has worked with adult men and women recovering from codependency, PTSD, relational trauma, and chronic illness. Niki enjoys the partnership when working with clients toward a common goal.
